Second-half strikes against his former club by Bologna FC striker Marco Di Vaio condemned Juventus to their fourth defeat in six Serie A encounters and consecutive 2-0 reverses.
Marco Di Vaio scored twice against his former side as Bologna FC completed a surprise 2-0 away win against misfiring Juventus.
The hosts, playing without the suspended Gianluigi Buffon, were hoping to arrest a slump that had grown to four defeats in six league matches following last week's reverse at lowly US Lecce. Though Vincenzo Iaquinta was unlucky to hit the woodwork in the first half, the visitors responded by taking the lead when Di Vaio (49) capitalised on a defensive error by Felipe Melo.
The 34-year-old Di Vaio, who spent two seasons with the Bianconeri between 2002 and 2004, then scored his 16th Serie A goal of the campaign (66) after dribbling past Leonardo Bonucci and Zdeněk Grygera.
Victory moves Bologna on to 35 points, level with ninth-placed Genoa CFC and Cagliari Calcio, while Luigi Delneri's charges remain seventh after their eighth reverse of the season, seven points off the UEFA Champions League places.
